Treat and Find

1. ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS

By accessing, using, or registering on the Treat and Find website ("Website"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our Website.

2. ABOUT TREAT AND FIND

Treat and Find is an online directory platform that connects healthcare practitioners with potential patients through passive advertising opportunities. Our platform provides a space for healthcare professionals to list their services and practices in compliance with professional advertising standards.

3. PROFESSIONAL COMPLIANCE AND ADVERTISING STANDARDS

3.1 HPCSA Compliance

All healthcare practitioners using our platform must comply with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) regulations. The HPCSA does not permit canvassing or touting. Our platform provides only passive advertising opportunities in accordance with HPCSA guidelines.

3.2 Prohibited Activities

Users are strictly prohibited from:

  • Canvassing or actively soliciting patients

  • Making exaggerated or misleading claims about services

  • Engaging in any form of touting

  • Violating HPCSA ethical guidelines regarding advertising

3.3 Content Responsibility

Users are solely responsible for ensuring their listings and content comply with all applicable professional standards and regulations.

4. SERVICES AND PRICING

4.1 Classified Listings

  • Free Trial Period: All new listings (not practice registration) receive a 7-day free trial, unless you choose the featured option.

  • Standard Listing: R100 for one month after the trial period

  • Featured Listing: R200 for one month (immediately appears on homepage)

4.2 Practice Registration

  • Standard Practice Registration: R300 for one month

  • Featured Practice Registration: R500 for one month (featured placement on homepage)

4.3 Service Categories

Our platform supports listings for:

  • Employment opportunities

  • Workspace rental/sharing

  • Equipment and consumables

  • Courses and events

  • Rooms and practice spaces for rent/buy

4.4 To edit a listing please fill out the contact form and we will make changes within 24 hours

5. PAYMENT TERMS

5.1 Billing

  • All fees are one-time payments for a single month of service

  • The 7-day free trial applies only to first-time listings

  • Featured listings require immediate payment upon selection

  • No automatic recurring charges - users must manually renew each month

  • All prices are in South African Rands (ZAR) and include applicable taxes

5.2 Service Duration and Renewal

  • Each payment provides one month of service from the date of payment

  • Services automatically expire at the end of the paid period

  • Manual renewal required: Users must submit a new payment to continue service beyond the initial month

  • Resubmission process: To continue listing after expiration, users must resubmit their listing and make a new payment

  • Email notifications will be sent 1 day before service expiration

5.3 Payment Methods

  • Payments must be made via approved payment methods

  • Each payment is processed as a single transaction

  • No payment information is stored for automatic billing

5.4 Refunds

  • No refunds are provided for partial months of service

  • Refunds may be considered in exceptional circumstances at our sole discretion

  • Free trial periods do not constitute paid services eligible for refunds

5.5 Price Changes

  • We reserve the right to modify pricing with 30 days' written notice

  • Price changes will apply to new submissions only

  • Existing active listings will continue at the original rate until expiration

6. USER RESPONSIBILITIES

6.1 Account Information

Users must:

  • Provide accurate, current, and complete information

  • Maintain the security of their account credentials

  • Promptly update any changes to their information

  • Ensure all contact details are current and functional

6.2 Content Standards

All content submitted must be:

  • Truthful and accurate

  • Professional and appropriate

  • Compliant with applicable laws and regulations

  • Free from defamatory, offensive, or inappropriate material

6.3 Professional Qualifications

Healthcare practitioners must:

  • Hold valid professional registration with the appropriate councils

  • Provide accurate HPCSA registration numbers where applicable

  • Maintain current professional indemnity insurance

  • Comply with all professional ethical standards

7. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

7.1 Platform Disclaimer

Treat and Find is not responsible for any interactions, transactions, or relationships between clients and healthcare providers. We act solely as a directory platform and do not:

  • Verify the qualifications or credentials of listed practitioners

  • Endorse or recommend any specific practitioner or service

  • Mediate disputes between users

  • Guarantee the quality or safety of services provided

7.2 User Interactions

Users acknowledge that:

  • All interactions with other users are at their own risk

  • They are responsible for verifying practitioner credentials independently

  • They should exercise appropriate caution when engaging services

  • Treat and Find has no liability for the outcome of any professional services

7.3 Website Availability

We do not guarantee uninterrupted access to our Website and are not liable for:

  • Technical difficulties or downtime

  • Loss of data or information

  • Missed opportunities due to system unavailability

8. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

8.1 Platform Rights

All content, design, logos, and functionality of the Treat and Find website remain our intellectual property.

8.2 User Content

By submitting content, users grant Treat and Find a non-exclusive license to display and use such content for platform operations.

9. PRIVACY AND DATA PROTECTION

9.1 Information Collection

We collect and process personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable data protection laws.

9.2 Contact Information Display

By listing on our platform, users consent to their contact information being displayed to potential clients.

10. TERMINATION

10.1 User Termination

Users may discontinue their service at any time. Services will remain active until the end of the paid period, after which they will automatically expire.

10.2 Platform Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate services for:

  • Violation of these Terms

  • Non-payment of fees for renewal

  • Inappropriate or unprofessional conduct

  • Non-compliance with professional standards

10.3 Service Expiration

  • Services automatically expire at the end of each paid month

  • No automatic renewal or charging occurs

  • Users must manually resubmit and pay to continue service

11. MODIFICATIONS

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Users will be notified of significant changes, and continued use of the platform constitutes acceptance of modified Terms.

12. GOVERNING LAW

These Terms are governed by the laws of South Africa. Any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of South African courts.
